Enhancing Communities 2019
RFL’s annual ‘Enhancing Communities’ event took place on 8 October 2019 marking its 8th year, with over 140 attendees from financial institutions and other stakeholders across the UK.
The agenda encompassed a variety of presentations including those from: Baroness Barran MBE, the Minister for Civil Society; UK good causes: Fair4All Finance, Youth Futures Federation, Renew Wales, Princes Trust and Showcase the Street, in addition to RFL Chairman Jane Hanson and CEO Adrian Smith. The event also provided an insight into the work being undertaken with Government in relation to an expanded scheme following the Industry Champions’ report: The Dormant Assets Scheme: A Blueprint for Expansion.
Peter Sampson, Relationship Manager at The Investment Association said ‘I would like to congratulate the RFL team on a fantastic event. The County Hall venue was fantastic only to be eclipsed by the speakers and their content. It was really enjoyable, very informative and it was a great opportunity to network with industry stakeholders and meet the charities who benefit from dormant asset monies.’
