RFL welcome The Cambridge Building Society as the second participant of the Alternative Scheme

RFL is delighted to welcome Cambridge Building Society as the second participant of the Dormant Assets Scheme for smaller building societies and banks, also known as the Alternative Scheme.

Peter Burrows, Chief Executive of The Cambridge comments,

“We are delighted to announce the launch of The Cambridge Building Society Community Fund, it’s very important to us that our fund supports both people locally and with a homes and housing need, joining the Dormant Asset Scheme has allowed us to fulfil this.

Utilising the funding made available, The Cambridge Building Society has launched a charitable fund with an initial funding from the Society of £500,000 focusing on homes and housing.

Following in the footsteps of Newcastle Building Society, The Cambridge is the second Building Society to utilise the Dormant Assets Scheme’s ‘Alternative Scheme’, to channel funds to their aligned groups and/or charities whilst protecting the customer’s right to reclaim at any time.

If you are a building society or bank and would like to know more about the Alternative Scheme please click here or get in touch today by email reclaimfund@reclaimfund.co.uk.
